Chassis are constructed from aluminum sheet (Alloy 6061-T6 or 5052-H32) per ASTM B209 and federal specifications QQ-A-250/11 and QQ-A-250/8. Stainless steel options in 14/16 gauge are also available. The standard finish is Chemical Film per MIL-C-5541E Type 1 Class 3 (Gold), with anodized handle finishes per MIL-A-8625E.
